No matter what it is you want, whether it’s in your personal life, your relationships with others, and especially in your business, you aren’t going to get it unless you have the right Mindset!

Mindset is something that I hear people talk about all the time, almost to the point that it seems like a cliche.

But I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly important the right frame of mind actually is to success in business and in life in general.

Mindset is key…

There’s an awful lot going on in the world that gets in the way of us getting what we want, especially right now.

To overcome these external and internal distractions we need to be present and stay absolutely committed to the goals we set for ourselves.

I like to say that we have to “become our commitment.”

To get what we want in business and in life, we need to create a new foundation of who we are that is shaped around that ultimate goal that we are committed to.

We need to have this foundation - this mindset in complete alignment with our values and our goals - to rise above our short term wants to become what we are committed to.

This all sounds a little abstract, so let me give you an example from my own life.

When I was sixteen I decided I wanted to become a model and travel the world. I had the skillset and the drive, but at that point in my life it simply wasn’t going to happen for me.

Did I give up? No.

Sometimes we work hard and we develop all the skills we need to succeed but we still get a “no”.

But if we are truly committed to our goals and to ourselves we don’t take that “no” as the end of the road. We have to keep pushing.

We can’t be afraid of the “no”. Sometimes, we learn from it and get to the “yes” that much quicker.

Ultimately, we have to have absolute faith that if we live a life according to our commitment, we will be unstoppable.

I didn’t get that career in modeling right away. But I decided that’s what I was going to be. I lived my life in commitment to it. I had complete faith I would get there. I kept working really hard at it. And a few years later I got a modeling contract that took me around the world.

I lived my dream for the next seven years until I had my first son.

When you go after what you want like it’s already yours your whole universe begins to shift.

Success isn’t going to fall into your lap. You need to work really hard. But having that faith means you will be prepared for the blessing when it comes.

Take the time to sit down and think about what you really want.

What do you really value? How can you shape your goals around what you value?

Then, learn all you can about what you want. Treat it like it’s already yours.

If you want a new car, find out exactly what it would cost to fill the tank every week; how often you would have to change the tires; what your monthly payment will be.

Make sure you have people in your life that will hold you accountable for your greatness and not let you play small.

And most importantly, no matter how many times you’ve heard it before, believe in yourself.

You have something valuable to bring to the table. Figure out what it is and be completely committed to it.
